Alex and Leo (Alex und der Löwe)

Synopsis: Two young men are both starting new after breaking up long-term relationships. Two chance encounters later Alex and Leo realize they are attracted to each other, but Leo must first win over Alex's friends, then Alex.
Quick review: This is a fun movie and it's easy to see why it was a hit at gay film festivals. It doesn't try to be anything more than two guys falling in love. It throws in some oddball characters and enough drama to keep you interested. Alex is a serious young man who loses it when comes home early from work and finds his boyfriend having sex with another man. Leo, on the other hand, has decided that he can't keep living a lie and let's it slip that he's gay, which is news to his girlfriend of four years. They are formally introduced through mutual friends and the courtship begins. While Leo is eager for love, Alex is not over the pain of his previous relationship and puts the brakes on a new one. Keeping us entertained while Alex tries to make up his mind are his friends, Stephi and Coby. Leo tries to win them over, which in the case of Coby is mission impossible. But things are helped along when the two of them also find love. This is a simple romantic comedy that will put a smile on your face and make you feel good. It would be great for date night.
