Synopsis: There aren't very many good lesbian slasher films out there and after seeing this film, there still aren't many good lesbian slasher films out there.
Quick review: This is going to be difficult to write, because this is a film with a twist ending. It's hard to point out all the holes in the story without giving away the twist. Maybe that's what the brain trust of this film were counting on. That way it's hard for me to tell you why this film makes no sense. But what am I thinking? I want a slasher film to make sense? People go to see these things for the blood, the gore, the slashed off body parts and a plot that makes no sense. In this one, two college friends, Marie and Alex, head off to the country to get in some serious studying at the farm home of Alex's family. It's the kind you can only do when there is little else to distract you. A madman who kills women and then rapes them shows up at the house, and starts butchering people. He takes Alex alive, ties her up and takes her out to the van, where hours of pleasure are planned. Marie is terrified, and at first hides for her life. But she has a secret crush on Alex and finally decides it is up to her to rescue her friend. OK, that I get, it's your typical slasher film. But once the twist is revealed, the questions come fast and furious. And that's my problem, I can't ask them without revealing the twist. So let's just say it left a bad taste and I'm not recommending this film. First, it's barely lesbian. Yes, Marie is in love with Alex. But there's no indication that Alex is anything but straight. And most of the rest of the film treats women like sex objects. Hardly something most lesbian couples are going to want to see on a date night.
