Cyn Dulay, Leslie Frank, Ricardo Islas, Ruby Gonzalez
Synopsis:
Two lesbian art teachers become vampires in their pursuit of youth and beauty. It's up to a group of students to find some way of stopping them.
Quick review:
The director, Ricardo Islas, is a well known horror filmmaker in his native Uruguay. To increase his international status, he's now making English language movies. This film is based on the true-life Elizabeth Bathory, who may be one of the most infamous serial killers of all time. She lived in the late 1500s and believe she may have helped kill hundreds of girls who came to her seeking work. One of the legends of this story is that Bathory herself had a list of 650 victims that she kept (according to Wikipedia). That's where this film takes off. Lupe and Jennifer are a pair of art teachers at the local college and also lovers. They have discovered Elizabeth Bathory's diary, which details all the ceremonies she used in slaying the young women. They begin to perform them, including the desire to bathe in the blood of a virgin girl in order to remain young and beautiful. The object of Jennifer's desire is one of her students, Amy. Of course Lupe gets jealous and soon vampires are running amok. Amy's boyfriend and pals enter the showdown, and with the help of a history teach (played by Islas), they try and stop the lesbian vampires from taking over the world. This is an incredibly low budget film with bad acting and a plot that will have you scratching your head. It tries to make up for that by having blood everywhere. So most people should avoid this film But, if you're into the low-budget, cheesey lesbian vampire genre, it's just the film for you.
