Quick review:
Let's save time. This is a bad movie and not worth your time or money to buy or rent. Feel free to look for a good lesbian movie -- there are plenty. For those of you who still want to know more, OK. Annie, her husband Bill and their daughter have just moved to a new city and know pretty much no one. The husband meets Maggie, an out lesbian who of course is working as an auto mechanic (she actually acts as cashier, but you get the point). When Bill hears that Maggie plays for a softball team, he suggests his wife tryout. Maggie agrees. Maggie & Annie meet at practice and the chemistry is smoking right away. Then you sit through an hour of angst as the two move closer and closer together but don't have the courage to go all the way. Finally, on a softball road trip they connect. Once they return, Annie has to decide what she wants: Her husband and child or Maggie. Her new girlfriend decides to help out by leaving town and trying to get over the love of her life. Which just drives everyone crazy. Now, the problems with this film: 1. Production quality. It's low-budget and worse, you can tell. 2. Bill, the husband. Who writes these characters? (In this case, the director). He's a freaking saint. A lesbian comes in and takes his woman and his reaction is to share her? That's no man I've ever met. 3. It's filled with clichés and takes far too long to get to the point. One nice thing about the film is the performance of the two female leads, Amy Thiel and Joy Yandell. They are cute and keep the overacting to a minimum.
