2002

Italy
Director:
Giada Colagrande
Starring:

Synopsis:
A strange Italian film about two sisters in love. The older sister is a prostitute and the younger sister has never been with a man. That changes and then everything goes to hell.
Quick review:
First, for a lesbian movie, you have to sit through a lot of straight sex. A lot. And when they do show the hints of lesbian love, it's not as explicit as all that straight sex they make you endure. Maria is the older sister and prostitute. She's carrying on the family business, having watched her mother take many men to bed when she was growing up. Now, it's Caterina's turn to sit in the other room and listen to the bed squeak. Since she's in love with her older sister and the two have sex, it drives her crazy. But, she's a willing prisoner of Maria's. She stays in and only leaves the apartment to attend dance class. Ah, but that is where a challenge to the relationship comes. An older man takes notice of young Caterina and decides he wants to deflower her. Maria first makes him pay for sex with her. But she soon realizes its Caterina he wants, and the desire seems to be mutual. So, she arranges for her younger sister to enter the family business. But the two lovers want more. Caterina begins to show less lesbian leanings and can't wait for the secret visits from her male lover. When Maria finally catches the two of them, things take a dark turn. This film is a straight man's fantasy and most true lesbians will probably find it offensive. To have the young Caterina so in love with Maria and enjoying her sex switch her orientation after one time with a man could only come from the mind of a straight man.
