Butterfly Kiss

Synopsis: This black comedy highlights a lesbian mass killer on the loose and the woman who loves her. Eunice is on the prowl for the woman she loves, Judith, and kills those she meets along the way.
Quick review: This 'black comedy' didn't have me laughing. It's way too creepy for that. Eunice is convinced there is a woman out there, somewhere, named Judith who is her soulmate. She migrates from gas station to gas station looking for her, and if the women she comes across aren't Judith, well, they probably lived long enough anyway so it's time to die. It's obvious from the outset that Eunice is a little crazy. Scratch that, a lot crazy. She does meet one woman at a gas station who is not Judith, but seems to like Eunice anyway. The woman become a devoted follower of Eunice, even helping her cover up her many murders. But so long as her name is not Judith, Eunice is not happy. She must continue the search for the love that she knows is out there. For most of the film you're wondering where the hell are the police and why they haven't caught this woman? There are some touching moments, especially the ending when we see the price someone is willing to pay for love. There are also moments that make your skin crawl, like any time Eunice takes off her clothes and you see what she's done to her body. It's not a movie that's for everyone, but I suspect people who like black comedies will enjoy it.
