Graffiti Artist, The
Year:
2004
Country:
USA
Director:
James Bolton
Starring:
Ribem Bansie-Snellman and Pepper Fajans
Synopsis:
A young man has no use for the rules of society and would rather go through live sleeping on the street as long as he can live by his own rules. His hobby is to spray paint walls and that's how Nick meets Jesse.
Quick review:
There may be as many words in this film as there are minutes (a slight exaggeration). The first words aren't spoken until the seven-minute mark. It's effective in helping the audience connect with Nick, who is very lonely and isolated from the world. He's a tagger, which means a graffiti artist. One day he spots another tagger and becomes interested. They soon meet and develop a friendship as they travel around Seattle making eye sores for everyone to enjoy. Since Craig has no place to stay, Jesse invites him to his apartment. One night the two have a steamy encounter that forces both men to reexamine what they want from the other.
