East Palace, West Palace (Dong Gong Xi Gong)

Synopsis: A gay man cruises a park in China, until he is picked up by a local police officer.
Quick review: Unlike most Americans, I can handle a slow-moving plot, but this film tested that. It's mostly a testament of how gay men are treated in China and told through flashbacks, as the officer interrogates the suspect. It's suppose to be edgy, but I didn't like the format or the police abuse. My co-worker Brian Moylan, however, loved it. He rates it a 5. He liked the tension and the story. I suspect the reason I didn't, is I just don't like to watch people being abused.
