I'll come out of the closet. Yes, I love gay movies, but I have had a difficult time finding an online resource to help me select the best gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender films that are available to watch. There are a few Web sites out there. One boasts thousands of movies listed, but when you dive into them you find that they haven't seen most of them so they are unable to give you an informed view if the movie is good or not. Or, they list any film that includes a gay director or star, but the movie itself has nothing to do with gay people.
My frustration in trying to find a quality site that could simply tell me a little about the movie and if it was good or not led to OutFilms. The way I like to research any film, is I want to know as little as possible going into a movie. But, I want to know enough to know if it has the potential to be something I will enjoy, or a waste of my time. Tell me a little about what the movie is about and tell me if it stinks or is a great film.
That is the goal of OutFilms. Each movie listed here has been seen by one of our reviewers and they are giving their personal rating to it. The reviews aren't so long that they will ruin all the surprises should you decide to see it, but hopefully long enough to give you a taste of what the movie is about and is it for you.
